Clear rules, measured focus
Follow one signal, ignore the others, and see what changes when the rule shifts.
Follow What Matters
Choose the text color while the word itself tries to pull your attention elsewhere.
One Rule or Two
Classic always follows the text color. Switch asks for the text or background color on each trial.
Stable Choices
The four colors stay in the same place, keeping the test focused on attention rather than layout.
Two Clear Results
Review accuracy and average response time without extra statistics getting in the way.
Use What Feels Natural
Answer with a mouse, touch, or number keys 1–4 without changing the test flow.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Stroop Test work?
A color word appears in a matching or conflicting text color. In Classic, choose the text color and ignore what the word says. The test includes 24 trials.
How does Switch work?
Follow the cue above the word. TEXT COLOR means choose the color of the word. BACKGROUND COLOR means choose the color behind it.
Why does the test use 24 trials?
Twenty-four trials provide a balanced mix of matching and conflicting prompts while keeping each completed run short.
How is personal best decided?
Each mode keeps its own record. Accuracy comes first. When two runs have the same accuracy, the faster average response time ranks higher.
Can this diagnose an attention condition?
No. Color perception, reading fluency, device, and input method can all affect the result. This is for curiosity and personal comparison, not a medical or psychological assessment.
Where are my results saved?
Completed runs are stored only in this browser. Interrupted runs are not saved, and you can clear the record at any time.
